Hi, I’m Naoise (pronounced “Nisha” for those who don’t speak Irish Gaelic). Born in Ireland, I grew up in the UK, studying at the London School of Economics (BSc. Economics). I eventually moved to the U.S. to attend business school at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Currently, I live in Pennsylvania, the Keystone State and world leader in pretzel manufacturing.
I enjoy diving into history, economics, bitcoin, and energy related topics, amongst others. I believe that by studying history, we can better understand our present, and therefore predict and shape our future more effectively (or at least avoid getting caught in the next tulip-mania).
I’ve also taken up photography as a creative outlet. I primarily shoot wildlife with a Sony A7 III equipped with a Sony 200-600mm telephoto lens. For wider perspective shots, I switch to a Sony 24-105mm. For me, photography is a great way to capture and share fleeting moments and unique perspectives, complementing the memories we hold onto.
